The purpose of GMU STC is to provide educational, service, and socialization opportunities that:
- expand student and faculty knowledge of technical communication and current events in the field;
- raise awareness of the interdisciplinary nature of technical communication and foster relationships between the technical communication community of GMU and other GMU disciplines;
- help GMU STC members grow their professional and academic networks; and
- enhance the relevancy of GMU’s writing programs in the international technical communication community.
